New Job:)

Well... I have learned quite a lesson... I used to be a Quality Assurance Analyst... but now I am a hostess at a local restaurant! I used to think that getting people's drinks would be easy... but far from it!!! I am grateful for the work as it allows me to get out in the ministry more often then i was able to before, but man my feet are killing me!!!

Novembers Highlights!

Well! Where can I begin? We have been blessed with some really great happenings so far in November, of which, Michael's baptism being the nicest! I am so happy for him!!! Another plus is that he has decided to Auxiliary Pioneer for November as well!! It seems that he has taken off spiritually! It is so refreshing to experience that zeal that we all had at the beginning, in someone newly baptised! It kinda rubs off on us:) I have been greatly encouraged by his spiritual direction.
One thing that stuck with me ... One of the speakers from Patterson gave an illustration where he spoke about a parent giving 10 dollars to a child for lunch money. The money was allotted ONLY for lunch, nothing else. The child spent it on junk food and candy. The parent was not happy! The application for us : Jehovah has allotted this time before the great tribulation for the preaching of the Good News... nothing else! Not "candy"( selfish mundane even normal worldly pursuits)! That illustration alone helps to put things in perspective.
It was sooo nice that Kenny,Becca, Ben and Bella were able to be there! I have all of my kids , Kenny, Christina, Patrick, Becca, Evan and Julie to thank for encouraging him!Jehovah truly deserves the credit for taking care of all of you guys.

Busy Busy

Hi all ... It has been a busy few months ... let me give you a quick update about what has been happening with us... We have been downsizing! From about May to July 08, we started to sell off all of our things by having sales inside of our home! We cleaned and tagged everything we wanted sold (99%). Then we had sales in our home each day during the week! Needless to say we sold all of our things with the exception of necessities! Believe it or not, It feels so good to not be tied to a lot of stuff!

While we were having the sales my hubbie was constructing a living area for us in his sister's house, this way we can prepare for his retirement (e.t.a.. 18 months) and spend more time with his Dad (92 years old) who lives with my sister-in-law as well!

Next on the menu: Selling our house. We are doing that ourselves as well.....will let you know how that works for us:)
